Disaster named Ferrari
The F1 2022 season is becoming a disaster with the Scuderia Ferrari racing team. A series of mistakes have happened in all aspects, making the “sun” of the speed racing village become a clown in the eyes of the grave.
The people who suffered the most severe damage were the racers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Saintz. It is estimated that Leclerc alone lost 108 points because of Ferrari’s mistakes. Just recently, Ferrari also made those who love this team more bored. The race in the Netherlands, Carloz Saidz just wanted to rush out of the car and squeeze the wrist of the team’s tire replacement.
When Sainz entered Pitstop, his goal was to replace the hard tire set that the Spanish driver was controlling on the F1-75, making him difficult in the process of competing with Max Verstappen. Normally, one tire replacement only makes the riders take less than 3 seconds. But with Carlos Saintz, he lost … 12.7 seconds, and it was crazy.
Why? Simply because Saint and Pit, but the staff changing the back tire was absent at the time he was forced to be present. This incident caused Ferrari to face. Although Carlos Saimz played effort and reached the destination at the 5th place, withdrawing he was deducted from 3 classes because of the unsafe pit lane.
Ferrari was so miserable, Toto Wolff himself – the leader of the rival team Mercedes, had to stand up to cut the opponent where they were wrong: “Ferrari has no other choice today, the mistake happened on the 6th day when the team did not pay attention to the tire.”
It was at Grand Prix in Hungary. Leclerc started the race with the average tire, he was not difficult to rise to lead the race when passing George Russel in the 31st round. The second replacement of tires is hard, different from the original plan, which makes Leclerc difficult in driving the car. After only 15 rounds, Leclerc is forced to replace the average tire set!

Massa & fuel tube in Singapore 2008
Felipe Massa takes many years to play the satellite role for Michael Schumacher’s ultimate success. In 2006, the legendary German racer retired, the opportunity to Massa. And in fact, the Brazilian racer was not bad at all. He and Lewis Hamilton compete to the championship fairly.
But the fuel event in Singapore Grand Prix directly affected Massa’s ranking. The Brazilian racer entered the pitstop to change the tire, everything happened quickly. Coming to the more fuel pump, just a short connection and withdrawing the pump from the car, Massa will return to the race normally like thousands of times in and out of other pitstop.
But no! A member of the group gives a green light signaling that Massa may go. But the fuel tube still plugged in the car and Massa’s car returned to the Pit Lane. It was all shocked when a piece of the long fuel wicked behind the massa car, causing Ferrari’s members to chase to remove the fuel pipes from the car.
That race destroyed Massa’s wonderful season. The “final” race in Brazil later belonged to Hamilton, and the young British racer won the world for the first time. As for Massa, until the day of leaving F1 in 2017, he never had that gold chance again.
Carlos Saint & Eddie Irvine racing with … 3 wheels
A F1 racing car has 4 wheels, but Carlos Saint’s F1-75 was once with only 3 wheels! The story is not far away, only in Grand Prix in the Netherlands on September 4.
In fact, Ferrari is the “father” of these types of scandals. In 1999, the Italian team had experienced the same event. The accident at the prestigious Silverstone racetrack caused Michael Schumacher to break his leg. All Ferrari’s hope was given to Eddie Irvine – the driver who repeatedly won 24 Hours of Le Mans and also went to F1 in 1993 with Sasol Jordan team.
At Germany Grand Prix 1999 in Germany, the weather has entered the autumn and is always very unpredictable. When it rains, Irvine entered the pitstop to replace the anti -slip tire. Everything happened quickly, but then people suddenly realized that Irvine’s car was only 3 wheels. The right rear tire has not been replaced, causing the British racer to lose a total of 11.9 seconds.
Vettel’s shocking stab – Raikkonen
Singapore Grand Prix again, but this time it was 2017. The duo of Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen, have come well and are leading the race together. But the pressure from Max Verstappen is not small.
And can you guess how did Ferrari’s duo deal? Must be confused, they struck each other, causing both Vettel and “snowman” Raikkonen to give up.
In 2019, F1 village had the opportunity to laugh again when the two Ferrari riders stabbed each other. This time, Charles Leclerc replaced Raikkonen. The race in Brazil, Leclerc just surpassed Vettel in a bend when at the later bend, the German racer rushed and collided with the young teammate. Of course, both have to give up.
Wet tires on dry roads
Grand Prix Malaysia 2009, Scuderia Ferrari as if they believe they have a predictive talent. Typically, Sepang racetrack always started the race with a pouring rain. Therefore, the Italian team decided to play shock: Welcome the weather by installing the Ferrari of Raikkonen a wet tire set – used in rainy conditions.
